?Y Radio Contest

The Question Why youth group sponsored a radio PSA contest in the spring and summer of 2002.  Teens all over North Carolina designed and recorded their own public service announcements for the contest, with the help of local radio stations.  We received tons of incredible entries!  The winning entry, "The Facts", by Amy Etheridge, Jeremy Bullard, and Jeremy Hamm of Raleigh, was played on radio stations all across North Carolina (way to go, Amy, Jeremy, and Jeremy!).  Listen all the finalists (including the winner) by downloading the MP3s below!

Smokefree Blowout and PSA Contest

Question Why and K97.5 hosted a big Smokefree Blowout party at the Ritz in Raleigh, Saturday November 24.

Teens designed their own radio anti-tobacco public service announcements for the PSA contest!  There was an open mike - K97.5 had recording equipment onsite, and anyone could get up and record their own anti-tobacco PSA.  The winners of the open mike contest had their PSA aired on K97.5!

And the winners are... Taurus Turner and Karesha Holt!

Download MP3s of their PSA's and see what they had to say!
